The Traveling Teacher Show loves to help classrooms GO GREEN!  Teachers can host an in-class presentation taught by degreed professionals that will inspire students to become earth friendly! The in class presentation is a fantastic way for teachers to enrich any science or social studies curriculum . Children will learn while having tons of eco fun! 

Each in-class presentation includes an interactive teaching time with one of our hilarious characters.  We include loads of visual aids, and of course, our friendly monster Org is always sure to come along!  After the eco-teach, students will create a project that will help reinforce the green concept they just learned.  There are several different green in-class presentations teachers can choose from. The content is varied depending on grade and students are sure to have an eco-enjoyable time!

THE GRANNY G
Granny G and Org will teach students the importance of shopping green!  Students will learn how their family can shop for the planet, as Granny G pulls out her enormous reusable shopping bag! Students will become fruits and vegetables as Granny teaches the importance of  buying organic, and how she likes to grow her own garden. Org likes to talk about composting and Granny has some hilarious tales to tell about the family that wastes too much!  Granny is known to rap a little and likes to have the kids join in.  After the teach students will each create their own reusable shopping bag to take home and share with their families! 

 
THE COACH G
Coach G and Org teach students the three Rs…Recycle, Reduce, Reuse.  Coach is looking for some students to join his eco team!  He loves using his whistle to time students as they recycle plastic, paper, and glass. Coach brings along his “car” and teaches how to reduce pollution.  Org challenges students to turn trash into treasures, and learns to give away things he has outgrown…even his favorite jerseys and stuffed animals.  Coach loves when kids are outside playing instead of inside wasting energy on television and video games.  Before coach arrives teachers are encouraged to have students recycle classroom paper and interesting objects. Coach and Org then help students turn it into a puppet of their own.

THE FRIDGEY *

Fridgey and Org are out to spread the word about going green! Fridgey escapes the kitchen and teaches students about wasting energy.  Students will learn how to reduce energy as they become common household appliances and gadgets!   Children become lights, sinks, televisions, and much more! Org sings some crazy songs that are sure to help children remember all they have learned. After the teach students will make a  paper bag Fridgey puppet that can go home and share the message!

 
THE CAPTAIN G (recommended for grades 4 and 5)*
Captain G is out to spread the word about going green!  He wants to make the world a greener, cleaner place and he knows how important it is for every kid to join forces with him.  Students will learn ways they can change their home, school and community.  Students will learn about the greenhouse effect and how their own carbon footprint affects the earth.  At the end of the teach students make up their own super hero names and masks as they pledge to help the planet.
